Moromi Vinegar Helps Improve Cholesterol Level, Helios Distillery Confirms

Tokyo (JCNN) - Okinawa-based brewing company Helios Distillery announced the results of its latest research on moromi
vinegar richly containing amino acid and citric acid. Moromi vinegar is a byproduct of awamori, Okinawa-originated distilled
liquor. Helios Distillery currently markets it under the trade name of Kurokouji Moromisu.

Co-conducted with Nihon Pharmaceutical University, the research showed that an intake of moromi vinegar helps lower the total
cholesterol level and keep it at a normal level. Also, the lowering of LDL cholesterol has also been confirmed.

Details of the research will be presented at the 7th Symposium of the Japanese Society of Pharmacometrics to be held in
Makuhari Messe on August 6 and 7.
